MDC Start Your Own Business Programme

MSC Technopreneurship & Leadership Centre (MSC-TLC) is recruiting for the 'Start Your Own Business in ICT' (SYOB) programme. MSC-TLC is offering any interested unemployed individuals to attend SYOB programme to learn and to get the relevant exposure in setting up your own business in ICT area.

Participants will be taught and later asked to submit their own Business Plan for MSC-TLC's evaluation. Should the Business Plan is attractive, feasible and viable, participants can also submit their idea for a RM50,000* Cradle Investment Programme conditional grant as a 'start-up fund' for their newly established business! (*subject to conditions, evaluation and approval)

What Is SYOB?
Comprehensive proprietary programme implemented by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) Purposefully designed programme to build internal capabilities and retrain young unemployed Malaysian Information & Communications Technology (ICT)graduates.

Intended to help trainees create their own employment opportunities by providing them withknowledge, resources and step-by-step basics of starting a new venture and strategies to sustain its growth.

Aims to help trainees identify their hidden talents and nurture; and groom their innate skills to help them make that transition from unemployment to being as an employer and a technology entrepreneur.

Who Should Attend?
Malaysian ICT graduates.
Unemployed / Fresh graduate / Part-time or temporary employment.

What You Would Learn From The SYOB?
5-full day comprehensive residential workshop that combines the knowledge and teachings of entrepreneurship with the demands of starting-up ICT businesses. Course structure blends business tools and theories with practical lessons and approaches to help any would-be technopreneur to build successful ICTventures.
Provide trainees with an understanding of traits required of a technopreneur and discover these must-have qualities within the individual.

Modules covered by the SYOB Programme include:
i) Overview of the Malaysian ICT industry and understanding technopreneurship
ii) Assess trainees' personality and technopreneurial inclination
iii) Evaluate trainees' business ideas. How to determine the feasibility of the business idea?
